Jack Prelutsky was named the poet laureate for kids and got a $25,000 prize for it. He gets his ideas from everywhere. He can find an idea from toys even spaghetti. He was inspired by Susan Hirschman an editor that saw his poems and recommended that he should be a published poet.
Jack works in a studio at his house with a desk, computer, library, references, children’s literature and a frog collection.
